Business Development Executive

About the role

Stateside Bank is looking for a proactive Business Development Executive to expand its client base in Lagos. The role will focus on acquiring new customers, driving deposit mobilisation and promoting the bank’s range of financial products.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to acquire new customers and grow the bank’s client base.
• Drive deposit mobilisation by attracting and retaining individual and corporate customers.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to increase revenue and market share.
• Build and maintain long‑term relationships with clients through exceptional service and financial advisory.
• Promote the bank’s products, including savings, investment and loan offerings.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities and customer needs to spot growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Prepare periodic sales and business development reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Finance or a related field.
• 4–5 years proven experience in business development, marketing or sales, preferably in financial services.
• Strong sales, negotiation and relationship‑management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Sound knowledge of financial products, especially deposits and loans.
• Analytical, problem‑solving and business‑development mindset.
• Self‑motivated, target‑driven and passionate about achieving growth.
