Audit Analyst

About the role

The Audit Analyst will execute audit plans in line with professional standards, analysing financial statements and reporting critical findings. The role supports the audit team to achieve objectives on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse financial statements and document insights, findings and recommendations.
• Present findings in the format determined by the Head of Audit.
• Engage in field surveys to gather information from units/departments being audited.
• Review capital and operational budgets and report on financial or operational irregularities.
• Recommend remedial actions for identified fraud or irregularities.
• Support Specialist SBU Control to ensure audit objectives are met within budget.

Required profile

• B.Sc. or HND in Accounting or related discipline; a master’s degree or MBA is an advantage.
• Membership in professional bodies such as CIA, ICAN, ACCA or CPA is a plus.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of finance best practices, IFRS, ICFR and related accounting standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
