Area Manager – Human Resources

About the role

The Area Manager – Human Resources will ensure a high level of employee experience across the region by delivering excellent HR services and supporting the Head of HR in implementing policies, programs and strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Suggest and implement new HR processes, procedures and policies to improve efficiency and employee experience.
• Train Country HR Coordinators on rollout and implementation of HR processes for consistent regional delivery.
• Execute core HR processes such as recruitment, onboarding, off‑boarding, payroll, workforce planning, performance management and talent development.
• Analyse data from country teams, produce trends and reports to support decision‑making at the Area level.
• Provide advisory support on employee‑relations matters, including absences, grievances and organizational change.
• Ensure compliance with local labour laws and corporate regulations, updating policies as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of HR generalist experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Experience working in a large matrix organization.
• Bilingual in English and French; Portuguese is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to handle complex, sensitive issues.
