WASH Officer (NOA) – Multiple Locations, Nigeria

About the role

The WASH Officer will support the planning, implementation, monitoring and documentation of water, sanitation and hygiene programmes across several states in Nigeria. This entry‑level position provides technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the WASH programming cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the design, implementation and monitoring of WASH interventions to improve access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene.
• Collect, analyse and present programme data to ensure evidence‑based decision making.
• Support emergency preparedness and response activities related to WASH.
• Strengthen collaboration with government counterparts, implementing partners and other stakeholders.
• Provide administrative support for reporting, documentation and compliance with UNICEF policies.

Required profile

• National Officer Associate (NOA) level – entry‑level professional support role.
• Familiarity with UNICEF rules, regulations, procedures and systems.
• Ability to work under the supervision of a WASH Specialist (Level 3).
