Technical Sales Lead – Completions

About the role

Weatherford International is looking for an experienced Technical Sales Lead specializing in completions to join its Lagos team. The role blends deep technical knowledge of oil‑and‑gas completions technology with strategic sales leadership to grow revenue and strengthen market presence in Nigeria and surrounding regions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sales plans for completions product lines to meet revenue targets.
• Build and maintain relationships with key decision‑makers at major oil and gas operators.
• Lead technical presentations, product demonstrations, and field trials showcasing Weatherford’s completions technologies.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and marketing to create customized client solutions.
• Provide technical guidance on equipment selection, installation procedures, and best‑practice operations.
• Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.
• Prepare detailed technical and commercial proposals, including cost estimates and timelines.
• Negotiate contracts and service agreements while maintaining strong customer relationships.
• Monitor project execution to ensure satisfaction and identify upsell opportunities.
• Mentor junior technical sales staff and maintain accurate sales forecasts using CRM systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in technical sales within the oil and gas completions sector.
• Strong ability to communicate technical concepts to customers and internal teams.
