Social Media Executive

About the role

A dental clinic in Lagos is looking for a Social Media Executive to plan and run its social media presence across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn. The role covers content creation, community management, reporting and keeping the clinic's brand voice consistent while protecting patient confidentiality.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage a social media content calendar supporting the clinic's services, campaigns and business goals.
• Create, write and publish engaging content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn, including graphics, short videos, reels and stories.
• Explain dental services and oral health topics clearly, checking clinical information with the appropriate dental professional before publication.
• Manage comments and direct messages, answer routine enquiries and refer clinical questions, complaints or urgent matters to the right staff.
• Coordinate with dentists and clinic staff to gather approved content, patient education material and updates.
• Obtain documented consent before creating or sharing identifiable patient content, in line with clinic procedures.
• Support promotions, campaigns, events and other marketing activities.
• Monitor performance and prepare regular reports on reach, engagement, enquiries and campaign results.
• Keep up with platform features and trends, maintaining a consistent brand voice and protecting the clinic's reputation.

Required profile

• HND in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Mass Communication or a related field; equivalent practical experience may be considered.
• At least 2 years of social media or digital marketing experience.
• Experience managing business or brand accounts and creating content for multiple platforms.
• A portfolio or examples of previous campaigns and content.
• An advantage: experience in healthcare, wellness or another regulated service environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with social media scheduling, analytics and design or video-editing tools.
• Strong writing, editing and visual storytelling skills.
• Good organisation, attention to detail and sound judgment when handling complaints and patient information.
