School Coding Instructor (Islamic School)

About the role

New Horizons is seeking a full‑time School Coding Instructor to join an Islamic school in Iwo. The role involves designing and delivering engaging coding lessons to elementary and high‑school students, fostering an inclusive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver coding lessons covering languages such as Python, JavaScript and HTML/CSS.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback and adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles.
• Maintain a productive classroom atmosphere that respects cultural and religious values.
• Collaborate with school staff to integrate coding into the broader curriculum.

Required profile

• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript or HTML/CSS; knowledge of embedded systems or robotics is a plus.
• Experience in lesson planning, instructional design and classroom management.
• Strong communication and mentoring skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Education or a related field preferred; teaching certification or relevant experience is advantageous.
