Optical Network Engineer (DWDM)

About the role

We are seeking an Optical Network Engineer (DWDM) to provide pre‑sales and delivery support for major optical transport projects. The role acts as the technical authority for DWDM solutions, ensuring successful implementation and system reliability for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Support pre‑sales and delivery phases of large‑scale optical network projects, guaranteeing technical excellence and customer satisfaction.
• Manage Delivery Technical Requests (DTRx) and Service Requests (SR), assess feasibility and identify technical or operational risks.
• Lead Issue‑to‑Resolution (ITR) challenges, develop solutions and drive issues to closure.
• Oversee key project risk management using support operation maps, provide early warnings and ensure closed‑loop risk mitigation.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis of recurring issues and collaborate with R&D, service teams and industry peers to implement systematic improvements.

Required profile

• 3–7+ years of experience in optical network delivery, maintenance or solution design within the telecommunications sector.
• Hands‑on experience with DWDM and SDH technologies, including signal flow troubleshooting.
• Proven ability to design solutions, perform integration testing and manage cut‑over activities.
• Experience with optical layer and electrical layer migrations.
• Strong teamwork, communication and problem‑solving skills.
