Network Engineer – Telecom & Data Center

About the role

The Network Engineer is responsible for executing and monitoring network engineering projects and day‑to‑day technical operations for GVA. Working closely with internal teams and service providers, the engineer ensures that all products and services meet the required technical standards and support the company’s growth objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Install new Points of Presence (POPs) and data centers.
• Maintain and troubleshoot data‑center and B2B equipment.
• Design and provision B2B network solutions and connections.
• Manage incidents on B2B client lines and monitor SLA performance.
• Support sales teams on client or prospect sites and provide Level 1 back‑office support.
• Capture best practices, propose improvements and keep up‑to‑date with technical developments.
• Assist NOC and infrastructure agents in escalated problem resolution.
• Monitor infrastructure projects, produce progress reports and develop management procedures.
• Be on‑call for network monitoring and critical incident management.

Required profile

• Engineering degree in telecommunications, computer science or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in network engineering.
• Professional certifications in computer networking are a plus.
• Strong customer‑service attitude and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• TCP/IP, DHCP, OSPF, BGP and MPLS routing protocols.
• Network QoS management.
• Experience with NetDevOps tools.
• Knowledge of FTTH/GPON technologies.
• Configuration of routers and switches.
• Familiarity with data‑center environments and telecom/ISP products.
