About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Montessori Directoress to lead our classroom environment at First Light Montessori in Lagos. The role involves creating an authentic Montessori setting, assessing each child's individual needs, and fostering independence, self‑discipline and social harmony.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain an authentic, orderly, and engaging Montessori classroom environment.
- Observe and assess each child's individual needs, interests, and progress, tailoring learning plans accordingly.
- Guide children in using Montessori materials and oversee daily individual and group activities.
- Foster independence, self‑discipline, respect, and social harmony among students.
- Maintain regular communication with parents regarding children’s development and progress.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and supportive learning environment at all times.
Required profile
- Bachelor of Education degree.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar Montessori role.
- Recognised Montessori certification or diploma.
