Library and Archive Officer

About the role

The Library and Archive Officer will manage the company’s library, archives and special collections, ensuring they are properly catalogued, preserved and easily accessible to internal and external stakeholders. This role combines traditional library duties with modern records‑management practices to support the organization’s knowledge assets.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee cataloguing, preservation and accessibility of library and archival materials.
• Develop and implement an archival strategy aligned with organisational goals.
• Provide high‑quality customer service to all library users.
• Sort, organize and file both hard‑copy and electronic information for storage and retrieval.
• Set up and manage digital document and records‑management systems.
• Scan, photocopy and store digital documents to ensure easy access.
• Index, track and maintain an efficient retrieval system for electronic documents.
• Respond promptly to internal and external requests for archived materials.

Required profile

• B.Sc or HND in Library and Information Science (minimum second class lower).
• Age between 22 and 28 years.
• WAEC certificate with at least five credits, including Mathematics and English.
• Completed NYSC programme.
• Minimum 12 months experience in library, indexing or archiving.
