Grants and Partnership Engagement Manager

About the role

The Grants and Partnership Engagement Manager will lead the development and execution of fundraising strategies for a leading NGO in Nigeria. Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for securing grants, sponsorships and building strategic donor relationships to meet annual revenue targets.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement annual fundraising plans with quarterly and monthly targets.
• Identify, apply for and manage local and international grant opportunities from start to award, including compliance and reporting.
• Develop compelling grant proposals, concept notes, pitch decks and donor presentations.
• Build and nurture partnerships with donor agencies, corporations, foundations and government bodies.
• Organise partnership events, donor appreciation programmes and press briefings.
• Prepare regular grants and partnership reports for executive management and the board.
• Lead, mentor and develop the Grants & Partnerships team, including volunteer recruitment and performance management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Development, Public Administration, Social Sciences, Marketing, Communications or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in fundraising, grants management or donor relations within the nonprofit sector.
• Proven track record of securing grants from local and international donors.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
