Excavator Operator

About the role

The Excavator Operator will join Hongxing Steel Company's construction team in Lagos, handling excavation and site preparation tasks. This role requires safe, efficient machine operation and close collaboration with site supervisors to meet project deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Operate excavator machines safely and efficiently for excavation and site operations.
• Perform digging, trenching, loading, leveling, and land clearing activities.
• Inspect equipment daily before and after operation to ensure proper functionality.
• Report mechanical faults and maintenance needs promptly.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company operational procedures.
• Work closely with site supervisors and other operators to achieve project goals.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper handling of equipment at all times.
• Follow project instructions and complete assigned tasks within deadlines.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years proven experience operating excavators.
• Valid operator license or certification (preferred).
• Physically fit and capable of working long hours when required.
• Ability to work under pressure and in varying site conditions.
