Engineering Manager

About the role

The Engineering Manager will lead the engineering and maintenance function for Neimeth's pharmaceutical manufacturing site, ensuring equipment reliability, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement of plant operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute preventive and corrective maintenance programs for all production equipment and utilities.
• Oversee troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical and automation issues and manage calibration and validation of critical assets.
• Manage operation and maintenance of HVAC, boilers, chillers, compressed air, water systems and power supply to meet pharmaceutical standards.
• Ensure all engineering activities comply with NAFDAC and WHO GMP guidelines, support audits and close CAPAs.
• Lead capital projects, equipment installation, commissioning and qualification.
• Drive lean manufacturing, downtime reduction and efficiency initiatives.
• Promote a strong health, safety and environment culture, conduct risk assessments and enforce safe work practices.
• Coach, develop and evaluate the engineering team, handling workforce planning and training.
• Prepare and control the engineering budget, manage vendor contracts and monitor utility costs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 8–12 years of experience in engineering management within a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record of leading maintenance teams, capital projects and continuous‑improvement programs.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, NAFDAC and WHO regulatory requirements.
