Civil/ Structural Engineering Graduate Intern

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Civil/Structural Engineering Graduate Intern to join our team in Lagos. The role offers hands‑on experience in structural design and analysis on real projects under senior supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and reviewing structural designs for buildings, infrastructure and other civil works.
• Support preparation of structural drawings, design models and technical documentation.
• Conduct basic structural analysis using recognized design codes such as British Standards and Eurocode.
• Evaluate design loads, material specifications and construction methods to ensure structural integrity and cost‑effectiveness.
• Provide technical support during construction, addressing site queries, modifications and structural concerns.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Completed NYSC.
• Basic knowledge of structural design principles and engineering standards.
• Interest in applying design codes (British Standards, Eurocode) in real‑world projects.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Student membership in professional bodies (e.g., NSE, NIStructE, COREN) is a plus.

Required skills

• Familiarity with structural design software such as PROKON, STAAD Pro, PROTA, TEKLA, CADS, AutoCAD or Revit Structure.
• Understanding of British Standards and Eurocode design codes.
