About the role

The Channel Sales Manager – West Africa will lead the development and growth of SBS’s partner ecosystem across Nigeria and neighboring markets. Reporting to regional leadership, you will work closely with internal sales, product, marketing and professional services teams to drive partner‑led revenue and market expansion.

Key responsibilities

  • Define and execute the channel strategy for Nigeria and West Africa in line with SBS’s regional and global objectives.
  • Identify, recruit, onboard and manage strategic partners including system integrators, fintech firms, consulting agencies and resellers.
  • Co‑create joint business plans with partners, setting pipeline targets, vertical focus and go‑to‑market initiatives.
  • Enable partners on SBS solutions through training, certifications and sales enablement resources.
  • Monitor partner performance, forecast contributions and ensure high‑quality implementations for customers.
  • Collaborate on joint marketing activities, events and campaigns to generate demand.
  • Support partners in qualifying opportunities with banks, micro‑finance institutions, fintech and other financial service providers.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for partners and coordinate internally with sales, pre‑sales, product, professional services and marketing.

Required profile

  • 10+ years of experience selling SaaS and enterprise software, preferably in the financial services sector.
  • 5+ years of experience in channel management, partner sales, alliances or indirect sales.
  • Proven track record of building and scaling partner ecosystems.
  • Deep understanding of the West African banking, fintech and regulatory landscape.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Required skills

  • Experience with SaaS and enterprise software sales models.
  • Ability to recruit, onboard and manage system integrators, fintech, consulting and reseller partners.
  • Strong knowledge of West African financial services market and regulations.
