Business Development Manager

About the role

The Business Development Manager will drive growth for Nutrivitas Limited’s animal nutrition portfolio by expanding the customer base and strengthening market presence across Lagos and surrounding regions. This role combines strategic market analysis with hands‑on sales execution to increase revenue and market share.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, prospect, and acquire new customers for the company’s animal nutrition products.
• Develop and implement effective business development and sales strategies to increase revenue and market share.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with livestock industry players.
• Identify new markets, territories and distribution opportunities for the company’s products.
• Conduct regular market research to understand customer needs, competitor activities, pricing and market trends.
• Prepare and deliver product presentations and commercial proposals to prospective clients.
• Negotiate business deals and commercial terms while protecting profitability.
• Monitor customer feedback and market conditions, providing actionable insights to management.
• Develop partnerships and strategic relationships that support business growth.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science (Master’s degree or relevant professional qualification is an advantage).
• Registration or professional membership with a relevant animal science/agricultural body is a plus.
• 5–7 years of experience in business development, sales or marketing within the livestock or animal nutrition sector.
