About the role
The Automobile Technician is responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of vehicles in line with manufacturer specifications and workshop standards.
Key responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, suspension, steering and electrical systems on cars, SUVs and light‑duty vehicles using diagnostic tools.
- Perform scheduled maintenance, recommend part replacements and ensure safety and quality protocols are followed.
- Update job cards, keep the workshop clean and coordinate with service advisors and the parts department for efficient workflow.
Required profile
- Minimum Trade Test Certification (Grade I, II or III) in Mechanical or Electrical Auto Work.
- At least 3 years of practical experience in automotive repairs and diagnostics.
- Experience with Mercedes, Toyota and Ford vehicles is an advantage.
Required skills
- Proficiency with vehicle diagnostic tools and service equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret service manuals and repair instructions.
