Agribusiness Partnerships & Development Associate

About the role

The Agribusiness Partnerships & Field Development Associate is a key role for Jet FarmsNG, linking the company to farmers and value chain participants. The position strengthens farmer initiatives, builds strategic alliances and uncovers commercial opportunities in agriculture and food processing, turning the specific needs of farmers into market and business solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate farmer education through training sessions, on-site visits and demonstration plots, giving expert advice on Good Agricultural Practices, climate-resilient farming, crop management and production issues.
• Conduct market research to find and engage potential partners such as financial institutions, government bodies, agribusinesses, technology vendors and farmer cooperatives, with effective follow-up.
• Identify and evaluate new commercial avenues for Jet FarmsNG, Farm2C and D'More Food & Spices by analysing value chains, consumer trends, product demand and market dynamics.
• Draft and refine concept notes, partnership proposals, business profiles, budget plans and expressions of interest to support strategic deals.
• Keep records of stakeholder interactions, leads and opportunities, and gather field and market intelligence to produce timely reports for senior leadership.

Required profile

• Solid background in agronomy or a related agricultural field.
• Proven ability to design and deliver farmer training and field support programmes.
• Strong research skills to identify viable business partners and market opportunities.
• Excellent organisational skills for maintaining accurate records and managing stakeholder relationships.

• Proficiency in preparing business documents, proposals and financial budgets.
• Data collection, analysis and report preparation for management review.
