Upholstery Supervisor & Quality Control Lead

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Upholstery Supervisor who will lead our busy workshop, ensuring every piece of furniture meets the highest quality standards. You will coordinate artisans, manage material flow, and act as the primary quality control point for all upholstery projects.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily production schedules with upstream teams.
• Supervise upholstery and finishing activities, ensuring adherence to company standards.
• Inspect foam cutting, stitching, piping, tufting, and final finishes.
• Interpret furniture sketches and guide artisans during production.
• Liaise with clients on fabric selection and swatches.
• Procure upholstery materials, maintain stock records, and monitor usage to reduce waste.
• Train, supervise, and discipline artisans to maintain high performance.
• Conduct final quality checks before delivery.
• Coordinate with carpentry and finishing teams to meet deadlines.
• Maintain organized, safe, and efficient workshop environment.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in furniture manufacturing or upholstery.
• Strong knowledge of upholstery techniques, fabrics, foam, and furniture construction.
• Assertive personality with ability to enforce standards and drive accountability.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality‑control mindset.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and furniture sketches.
• Good leadership and communication skills.
• Preferably female, 30 years or older, residing near Yaba, Lagos or able to commute.
• Full‑time availability and ability to work under pressure.
