Supply Chain Manager

About the role

The Supply Chain Manager will lead the sourcing, procurement and logistics functions for Sigma Coatings Nigeria Limited, ensuring a reliable flow of raw materials and packaging while optimizing costs.

Key responsibilities

• Source, negotiate and contract with suppliers of resins, pigments, solvents and packaging materials.
• Collaborate with R&D and production teams to identify alternative materials and suppliers.
• Ensure supplier compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory standards.
• Develop and execute procurement strategies to reduce costs and improve supplier performance.
• Monitor market trends and adjust purchasing tactics accordingly.
• Coordinate import and export processes, and oversee logistics to guarantee timely delivery.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels using ERP/MRP systems and conduct regular stock audits.
• Forecast material needs in partnership with production and sales, planning for seasonal demand and new product launches.
• Generate reports on inventory turnover, procurement costs and supplier performance for senior management.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in a related field (e.g., Engineering, Business, Supply Chain).
• Minimum 12 years of experience in supply chain, procurement or logistics, preferably at a senior level.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Experience using MRP tools.
