Supermarket Operations Manager

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Manager to oversee the daily operations of our supermarket in Lagos. The role ensures smooth service delivery, efficient inventory control, and a welcoming environment for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily supermarket operations and supervise staff.
• Monitor inventory, stock levels, and product movement.
• Ensure products are properly displayed, priced, and available.
• Track sales, expenses, and overall business performance.
• Coordinate with suppliers for timely restocking.
• Minimize stock losses, wastage, and discrepancies.
• Handle customer concerns professionally and courteously.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well‑maintained store environment.
• Prepare basic operational and sales reports for management.
• Take overall responsibility for the smooth running of the supermarket.

Required profile

• Previous experience managing a supermarket, retail or grocery store.
• Strong inventory and stock management abilities.
• Good understanding of retail operations and customer service.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Well‑spoken, courteous, confident, and charismatic.
• Strong leadership and organizational capabilities.
• Ability to manage staff and coordinate day‑to‑day operations.
• Reliability, responsibility, and trustworthiness.
• Residency in Ikoyi, Lagos, or surrounding areas.
