About the role

We are looking for a talented Staff Writer to join The News Chronicle, an Abuja‑based online newspaper and a subsidiary of Adonis & Abbey Publishers. The role involves hunting, pitching, and writing compelling news features directly from our Abuja office.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop news story ideas that resonate with our audience.
• Pitch story concepts to editors and secure approval.
• Research, interview, and gather information to produce accurate, engaging articles.
• Write clear, concise, and captivating news features for publication.
• Collaborate with the editorial team to ensure timely delivery of content.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of active print newspaper reporting experience.
• Based in, or willing to relocate to, Abuja.
• Sharp analytical mind with a passion for journalism.
• Flawless command of the English language.
