Social Media Manager (NYSC)

About the role

Goodnews Naija Podcast is looking for a dynamic Social Media Manager (NYSC) to drive its online presence across multiple platforms. The role involves creating and curating engaging content that highlights faith, innovation, and lifestyle stories from across Nigeria.

Key responsibilities

• Research and identify positive stories, trends, and inspiring developments across Nigeria.
• Create and curate content for the Faith, Innovation, and Lifestyle desks.
• Write articles, captions, and social media copy for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, Facebook, LinkedIn, and the GNN website.
• Assist in producing reels, short videos, graphics, and other multimedia assets.
• Publish and schedule content across all platforms.
• Conduct interviews and gather human‑interest stories from communities, events, and organisations.
• Monitor social media conversations and engage with the online community.
• Support influencer, media, and partnership initiatives.
• Assist with content performance reporting and analytics.
• Contribute ideas to increase audience growth and engagement.

Required profile

• Minimum qualification of a BSc degree.
• Less than one year of experience in a similar role (internship or graduate level acceptable).
