Senior Chartist/Trader

About the role

The Senior Chartist/Trader will oversee daily trading operations, ensure market data integrity, and manage the technology stack that supports the firm’s trading activities. This role acts as the bridge between the trading floor and IT, maintaining smooth, uninterrupted workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Own the daily operational rhythm – data verification, platform checks, end‑of‑day ingestion and brief reviews – without CEO escalation.
• Maintain operational logs and produce weekly performance reports for senior management.
• Manage the health of the technology infrastructure: Windows Server, VPS environment, Microsoft 365 suite, automated data pipelines and the trading platform.
• Monitor automated processes, troubleshoot failures and escalate complex issues with clear diagnostics.
• Control user access, file permissions and folder architecture across the team.
• Coordinate platform builds and infrastructure upgrades with the technical lead.
• Ensure data integrity by enforcing naming conventions, folder structures and timely market data delivery.
• Serve as custodian of operational protocols, run weekly team meetings and track trainee milestones.
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation, runbooks and audit trails for regulatory compliance.
• Manage vendor contracts, subscription renewals and external relationships at the operational level.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, computer science, information systems, business administration or a related field.
• Professional qualification preferred (CFA, ACCA, ICAN, CIS or similar).
• Minimum five years of relevant experience in trading operations, data management or related finance roles.
