Senior Chartered Accountant

About the role

Abbstal Limited is seeking a Senior Chartered Accountant to lead its finance function in Lagos. The role involves overseeing financial reporting, ensuring compliance with IFRS and local tax regulations, and supporting strategic budgeting and forecasting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, management accounts, and budget variance analyses.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, manage tax filings, and ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP and local regulations.
• Review journal entries, reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts, and maintain clean financial ledgers.
• Assist in financial planning, cash flow monitoring, revenue projections, and expenditure forecasting.
• Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and mitigate financial risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Active Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
• 3‑5 years of progressive accounting and financial management experience.
• Advanced knowledge of IFRS and tax compliance laws.
• Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and leadership potential.
