Reservation Manager

About the role

The Reservation Manager will lead the Reservations team for the pre‑opening Hyatt Regency Lagos Ikeja, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while maximizing room revenue and occupancy.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily reservations operations, process bookings accurately, manage room inventory and handle VIP, long‑stay and special reservations.
• Partner with the Revenue Manager to optimise occupancy, ADR and RevPAR, monitor pick‑up reports and control over‑booking levels.
• Maintain rate integrity and inventory across Hyatt channels, GDS, OTAs and direct bookings, ensuring accurate rate loading in OPERA PMS and CRS.
• Recruit, train, coach and evaluate reservations staff, schedule shifts and foster Hyatt’s culture of care and service excellence.
• Deliver courteous, personalised service to guests via phone, email and online channels, and support loyalty initiatives.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reservation reports, analyse trends and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or related field.
• 3–5 years of hotel reservations or front‑office experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Experience in an international or luxury hotel brand, preferably Hyatt or a comparable global brand.

Required skills

• Proficiency with OPERA Property Management System.
• Experience using Central Reservation Systems (CRS).
• Knowledge of Global Distribution Systems (GDS) and Online Travel Agencies (OTAs).
