Professional Furniture Carpenter

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Professional Furniture Carpenter to join our workshop in Ibadan. The role involves creating high‑quality wooden furniture, ensuring precise dimensions and finishes, and collaborating with design and production teams.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings, sketches and verbal instructions to obtain dimensions and finish specifications.
• Craft a wide range of bespoke and multifunctional furniture pieces using various woodworking machines and tools.
• Maintain health and safety standards and keep the workshop clean and organized.
• Assemble cabinets, frames and other wooden articles with precision and quality.
• Collaborate with supervisors, design, technical, customer service and logistics teams to ensure seamless operations.
• Lift and move furniture items and equipment as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years proven experience as a Professional Furniture Carpenter in a reputable furniture manufacturing company.
• Critical, innovative and creative thinking with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Physical strength and stamina to handle heavy furniture and equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Carpentry and joinery craftsmanship.
• Interpretation of technical drawings and sketches.
• Operation of woodworking machines and tools.
