Procurement Operations Manager (Oil & Gas)

About the role

The Procurement Operations Manager will act as the bridge between IO and Associates headquarters and key oil‑and‑gas buyers across Nigeria. You will ensure smooth tender submissions, logistics coordination and on‑site follow‑up for equipment deliveries to refineries and EPC projects.

Key responsibilities

• Attend NIPEX, NOGIC‑JQS, DPR and other government offices for application follow‑up and documentation collection.
• Prepare and submit monthly field reports to the Director covering buyer meetings, tender status and delivery updates.
• Build and maintain relationships with procurement and technical teams at Dangote Refinery, NNPC refineries and major EPC contractors.
• Submit tenders and quotations prepared by headquarters, attend clarification meetings and technical presentations.
• Liaise with customs clearing agents at Lagos, Port Harcourt and other ports, supervise port clearance and arrange inland transportation to refinery sites.
• Confirm delivery completion and manage on‑site handover requirements.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in the Nigerian oil & gas sector in commercial, business development, procurement or supply‑chain roles.
• Established contacts with procurement or technical teams at one or more major refineries or EPC contractors.
• Hands‑on experience with Nigerian port clearing, customs procedures and inland logistics for imported equipment.
• Strong knowledge of the NIPEX tender process and Nigerian Content requirements.
• Excellent written and spoken English and a professional presentation.
