Portfolio Manager

About the role

Renmoney is seeking a senior Portfolio Manager to lead credit portfolio strategy as the company expands into new markets across Nigeria. The role combines portfolio growth, risk management, and data‑driven decision making to support the fintech’s lending business.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute portfolio strategies for market expansion and regional growth.
• Design localized credit policies based on customer behaviour, market conditions, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor portfolio quality, profitability, and growth using key credit risk metrics.
• Analyse trends, segment performance, and identify growth opportunities and emerging risks.
• Perform forecasting, scenario analysis, stress testing, and profitability assessments.
• Recommend enhancements to underwriting, pricing, and portfolio limits.
• Partner with product and business teams to launch new lending products.
• Track indicators such as delinquency, default rates, vintage performance, and loss trends.
• Collaborate with finance on Expected Credit Loss (ECL) and provisioning.
• Develop automated dashboards and reporting tools for executive decision‑making.
• Drive continuous improvement in analytics, reporting automation, and risk processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in portfolio management, retail lending, or credit analytics within banking or fintech.
• Proven ability to balance risk, profitability, and customer acquisition.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in scenario analysis and stress testing.
• Excellent communication skills to influence senior management and cross‑functional teams.
