PLC / Automation Technician (CNG Fuelling Station)

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled PLC / Automation Technician to support the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and optimisation of automation and control systems at our CNG fuelling station. The role ensures reliable and efficient performance of PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, instrumentation and communication networks while upholding the highest safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve faults in PLC and automation systems.
• Maintain, modify and optimise PLC programmes to improve reliability.
• Monitor and maintain HMI and SCADA interfaces.
• Configure and troubleshoot industrial communication networks and device interfaces.
• Calibrate and maintain field instruments, transmitters, sensors and analyzers.
• Support preventive and corrective maintenance of instrumentation and control loops.
• Perform regular backup and restoration of PLC, HMI and SCADA programmes.
• Document control system changes and technical records.
• Troubleshoot electrical control panels, MCCs, VFDs and related hardware.
• Ensure safety interlocks, shutdown systems and alarms are functional.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of experience in industrial automation, instrumentation and electrical maintenance.
• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex control system issues.
• Strong commitment to safety, reliability and operational excellence.
• Experience working in oil & gas, energy or CNG environments is preferred.

Required skills

• PLC programming and troubleshooting (Siemens, Allen‑Bradley or similar).
• HMI and SCADA configuration and maintenance.
• Industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP).
• Instrumentation calibration and maintenance.
• Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and motor control centres.
• Electrical control panel troubleshooting.
• Backup and restore of automation programmes.
