Personal Trainer – Abuja

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Personal Trainer to deliver high‑quality fitness coaching within a premium hospitality setting in Maitama, Abuja. You will design evidence‑based programmes, lead group sessions and provide one‑on‑one training tailored to each member’s goals and health status.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive fitness assessments, movement screenings and health evaluations for new and existing members.
• Develop individualized exercise programmes based on goals, body‑composition analysis and physical capabilities.
• Deliver one‑on‑one training sessions and small‑group fitness classes, monitoring progress and adjusting plans as needed.
• Utilise wearable technology and performance data to track results and improve programme effectiveness.
• Educate members on technique, injury prevention, recovery strategies and healthy lifestyle habits.
• Collaborate with physicians, physiotherapists and nutrition professionals to provide integrated wellness solutions.
• Maintain accurate client records, attendance logs and equipment inspection logs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Exercise Science, Sports Science, Physical Education or related field.
• 4–6 years of professional experience as a Personal Trainer or Fitness Coach in a premium hospitality or corporate wellness environment.
• Internationally recognised personal training certification (NASM, ACE, NSCA, ISSA, ACSM) – mandatory.
• Additional certifications in Strength & Conditioning, Corrective Exercise, Functional Training, Mobility or Performance Coaching – advantageous.
• Experience working with executive clients, older adults and individuals with diverse medical considerations.
• Professional appearance, excellent grooming and strong customer‑service orientation.

Required skills

• NASM, ACE, NSCA, ISSA or ACSM certification (and related specialised certifications).
• Proficiency with fitness management software and training applications.
• Experience using wearable fitness technology for performance monitoring.
• Competence in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and reporting.
