Pastry Chef

About the role

The Pastry Chef will lead the creation of a wide range of pastries, cakes, breads and desserts for our hospitality venue in Lagos. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of quality, presentation and cost efficiency while working in a fast‑paced kitchen environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, breads, desserts and confections.
• Develop and maintain consistent recipes and product quality.
• Decorate and present pastries to a high visual standard.
• Monitor inventory levels and request supplies as needed.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients and finished products.
• Maintain cleanliness and comply with food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Minimize waste and support cost‑control initiatives.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to meet production targets and customer demands.
• Verify that all baked products meet quality and presentation standards before service.

Required profile

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Pastry Chef or Baker.
• Strong knowledge of pastry preparation, baking techniques and dessert production.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced kitchen.
• Creativity and attention to detail in food presentation.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
• Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
• Culinary or pastry certification is an advantage.
• Male candidates preferred.

What we offer

• Monthly salary of NGN 200,000 (range NGN 150,000 – NGN 250,000).
