Partner – Business Leader

About the role

Busy Bee HR Services is seeking a senior partner to lead its Banking and Finance practice in Lagos. The role combines high‑level legal advisory with business development across complex financial transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and advise on high‑value financial transactions such as syndicated lending, leveraged finance, acquisition finance, asset finance, structured finance and real estate finance.
• Act as primary relationship partner for key banking and finance clients, delivering strategic, solution‑oriented advice.
• Oversee transaction execution, ensuring quality, commercial practicality and timely delivery of advice and documentation.
• Represent the firm in negotiations with lenders, borrowers, sponsors, regulators and other stakeholders.
• Provide senior‑level advice on structured trade finance, including pre‑ and post‑shipment financing, letters of credit, receivables financing, warehouse financing and related security structures.
• Lead legal advisory on large‑scale project finance transactions, covering financing structures, inter‑creditor arrangements, EPC contracts, offtake agreements, guarantees and security packages.
• Drive business development by originating new mandates, expanding client relationships and identifying cross‑selling opportunities.
• Deliver strategic regulatory advice on Nigeria’s banking and financial services framework, including CBN regulations, foreign exchange controls and fintech regulation.

Required profile

• Executive level professional with at least 15 years of experience in banking, finance or related legal practice.
• Proven track record of managing complex, high‑value transactions and leading client relationships.
• Ability to meet revenue, billing and profitability targets consistent with partnership expectations.
