Operations Manager

About the role

Vinex Global Logistics is seeking an Operations Manager to lead daily air freight, sea freight and cargo handling activities in Lagos. You will ensure shipments are delivered on time, comply with trade regulations and meet our service quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate daily air freight, sea freight and cargo handling operations.
• Manage customs clearance processes and ensure compliance with local and international regulations.
• Liaise with shipping lines, airlines, freight forwarders, customs authorities and clients to facilitate smooth logistics.
• Monitor shipment status, resolve operational issues and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
• Develop and implement procedures to improve efficiency, reduce costs and maintain service quality.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics.
• Strong knowledge of air freight, sea freight and customs clearance procedures.
• Experience handling import and export cargo operations in Nigeria.
• Good understanding of shipping documentation and customs processes.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Established relationships with local Lagos partners.
