Operations Associate

About the role

We are looking for an Operations Associate to join Ojaia’s fast‑growing fulfilment hub in Lagos. You will play a key role in ensuring vendor orders are accurately received, processed and shipped, supporting a seamless customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, log and inspect all vendor shipments, verifying quantity, condition and accuracy against orders.
• Flag and escalate damaged, missing or incorrect items and ensure proper sorting, labelling and consolidation for outbound shipments.
• Liaise with vendors on order status, packaging requirements and quality standards, maintaining strong relationships.
• Coordinate with logistics and cargo teams to prepare export‑compliant documentation and track outbound shipments.
• Maintain real‑time records in the internal order management system and generate daily/weekly operational reports.
• Support the customer support team by resolving order issues, processing refunds or replacements with clear documentation.
• Identify process inefficiencies and contribute to the continuous improvement of SOPs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university.
• 1–3 years of hands‑on experience in operations, logistics, supply‑chain or e‑commerce fulfilment.
• NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and a proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience using Google Sheets, Docs and Drive.
• Familiarity with order‑management or inventory‑tracking tools (training provided).
