Offshore FPSO Life Extension Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Offshore FPSO Life Extension Engineer to lead the development and implementation of life‑extension strategies for floating production storage and offloading vessels. The role involves close collaboration with operations, maintenance, inspection, marine, project and HSE teams to ensure safe and compliant continued operation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement life‑extension strategies for hull, topsides, mooring, turret and marine systems.
• Lead assessments of aging facilities, fitness‑for‑service and remaining useful life.
• Coordinate structural integrity, corrosion, fatigue, reliability and inspection studies.
• Prepare repair, replacement and refurbishment plans to extend asset life.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and classification society requirements.
• Provide technical recommendations to support continued operation and asset life extension.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Structural, Marine, Civil or Petroleum Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in FPSO operations, asset integrity, offshore facilities engineering or brownfield projects.
• Strong knowledge of FPSO design, operations and lifecycle management.
• Proven experience in asset integrity, aging assessment, corrosion, fatigue and reliability engineering.
• Familiarity with DNV, ABS, API, ISO, IMO or other relevant offshore standards.
• Senior‑level technical leadership, analytical, project management and communication abilities.
