Nutrition Social Behaviour Change & Knowledge Management Consultant (Abuja)

About the role

The consultant will provide strategic and technical support to strengthen communication, advocacy, youth engagement, social mobilization, stakeholder and media engagement, visibility, donor recognition and knowledge management for UNICEF Nigeria’s nutrition programme.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement communication and advocacy strategies for nutrition interventions.
• Lead youth and community engagement activities to promote behaviour change.
• Coordinate stakeholder, media and donor visibility initiatives.
• Manage knowledge products, documentation, case studies and multimedia content.
• Support programme monitoring, evaluation and reporting across multiple partners.
• Facilitate digital engagement and social media outreach.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (Master’s) in Communication, Public Health, Social Sciences or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in advocacy, communication, social mobilisation, youth engagement or knowledge management.
• Proven experience supporting large‑scale public health or nutrition programmes in low‑ and middle‑income countries.
• Demonstrated collaboration with UNICEF, UN agencies, government, civil society and media partners.
