Microloan Officer

About the role

The Microloan Officer will identify, prospect, and onboard eligible micro‑loan clients in designated areas. You will guide clients through application, approval and disbursement while maintaining strong relationships and ensuring timely repayments.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, prospect and onboard eligible micro‑loan clients within assigned locations.
• Conduct business verification, basic credit assessment and documentation checks.
• Support clients through loan application, approval and disbursement processes.
• Manage client portfolios, maintain regular contact and monitor loan utilisation.
• Follow up on repayments, collect dues and flag repayment risks early.
• Maintain accurate records of interactions, applications, disbursements and collections.
• Achieve weekly and monthly loan‑disbursement and recovery targets.
• Escalate repayment concerns, documentation gaps and fraud‑risk indicators promptly.

Required profile

• Minimum OND in any discipline.
• 0‑2 years experience in microfinance, lending, field sales, collections or customer acquisition.
• Experience in a microfinance bank, lending company, cooperative, FMCG field‑sales or similar is an advantage.
• Strong communication, negotiation and customer‑service abilities.
• Comfortable with fieldwork, daily follow‑up and target‑based work.
• High resilience, integrity, accountability and attention to detail.

• Salary range NGN70,000 – NGN150,000 per month (base NGN100,000).
• Transport and call allowance NGN11,000 monthly.
