About the role
The Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) and Data Quality Coordinator will lead all M&E and data quality activities for the GAVI‑funded immunization project in Kaduna State. You will ensure robust systems are in place to track performance, outputs, outcomes and impact, and support data‑driven decision‑making across the programme.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and operationalise M&E frameworks, reporting tools and performance monitoring plans.
- Oversee data collection, verification, validation, analysis, storage and reporting, ensuring timely high‑quality submissions to donors and management.
- Provide technical support for DHIS2 and other health information systems, strengthening routine immunisation data processes.
- Create dashboards, conduct trend analyses and facilitate review meetings to drive performance improvements.
- Lead data quality assurance, supportive supervision and corrective action planning.
- Build capacity of health workers and programme teams through training, mentoring, job aids and SOPs.
- Collaborate with government agencies and partner organisations on M&E and reporting activities.
- Ensure compliance with donor requirements, national guidelines, ethical standards and data confidentiality.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Epidemiology, Public Health, Demography, Computer Science, Health Information Management, Social Sciences or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 5–7 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, data quality management and health information systems.
- Experience with donor‑funded public health projects (e.g., GAVI, Global Fund, USAID, UNICEF, WHO).
- Strong understanding of immunisation indicators, routine health information systems and health‑systems strengthening.
Required skills
- Hands‑on experience with DHIS2.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience using Power BI, Tableau, SPSS or STATA for data analysis.
- Conducting data quality assessments and supportive supervision.
