Marketing & Business Development Executive

About the role

The Marketing & Business Development Executive will drive client acquisition and expand market presence for a leading shipping and logistics provider. You will work closely with importers, exporters and industry partners across multiple sectors to generate new business and strengthen existing relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, approach and onboard new clients in import/export, FMCG, manufacturing, oil & gas, telecommunications, dredging and related sectors.
• Conduct field marketing activities and represent the company at industry events.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with importers and exporters, negotiating and closing business deals.
• Develop and execute marketing strategies to boost brand visibility and market share.
• Support digital marketing campaigns and enhance the company’s online presence.
• Coordinate end‑to‑end import and export shipments, ensuring compliance with freight forwarding regulations.
• Liaise with shipping lines, forwarding partners, agents and regulatory agencies.
• Resolve shipment delays, documentation discrepancies and provide timely status updates to clients.
• Prepare weekly performance reports and market intelligence insights.

Required profile

• Minimum B.Sc. degree.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar marketing or business development role within logistics, freight forwarding or related industries.
• Mid‑level professional with proven track record of acquiring and managing B2B clients.
