Legal Associate – Lagos

About the role

Convergence Law Practice is seeking a full‑time Associate to join its Lagos office. The role involves providing high‑quality legal support to a diverse client base in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive legal research and analyse precedents.
• Draft, review and finalise legal documents, contracts and memoranda.
• Provide advisory support and strategic counsel to clients on corporate and commercial matters.
• Represent clients in negotiations, hearings and other legal proceedings.
• Monitor regulatory developments and ensure compliance with applicable laws.
• Collaborate closely with senior lawyers and client teams to achieve successful case outcomes.

Required profile

• Member of the Nigerian Bar Association with a valid practising licence.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Prior experience in corporate or commercial law is an advantage.
