Learning Innovation Officer (Edo, Nigeria)

About the role

The Learning Innovation Officer will work within the Academic Team to improve lessons and learning materials through daily classroom observation and feedback. You will act as the eyes and ears of the Instructional Design team, ensuring that teaching practices and pupil outcomes continuously evolve.

Key responsibilities

• Observe at least five full lessons per school day and complete the designated observation form.
• Provide detailed, data‑driven feedback to Instructional Design Writers on lesson quality and effectiveness.
• Interview teachers, academy managers, parents and pupils to gather qualitative insights.
• Analyze field notes, photos and assessment data to recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with the Learning and Development Manager and Academic Director on academic planning.
• Test and evaluate new instructional practices and technology integrations.

Required profile

• Strong observational skills with a curiosity for what works and what doesn’t in the classroom.
• Experience developing learning materials or working in education or community organisations.
• Excellent written communication and ability to produce clear, detailed reports.
• Effective interviewing skills, able to build trust with teachers, parents and students.
• Fluent English, bias toward action, and comfort working in a fast‑changing environment.
