Lawyer – Corporate & Commercial

About the role

FMR Agency is looking for a proactive Lawyer to support its corporate and commercial legal activities in Lagos. The role involves drafting documents, providing legal advice, and assisting senior counsel on various matters.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and review legal documents, contracts, and agreements.
• Conduct legal research and provide advice on corporate and commercial issues.
• Assist senior lawyers in preparing for litigation, arbitration, and other proceedings.
• Perform legal due diligence and support compliance initiatives.
• Liaise with clients to ensure documentation meets their requirements.
• Represent the organization in legal negotiations and meetings.
• Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices.

Required profile

• LL.B. from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 2 years post‑call legal experience in a law firm or corporate setting.
• Strong knowledge of corporate law, contracts, compliance, and legal research.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical, research, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with senior lawyers.
• Familiarity with Nigerian legal frameworks and regulations.

What we offer

• Competitive monthly remuneration between NGN 150,000 and NGN 250,000.
