Kitchen Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Kitchen Assistant to join our fast‑growing burger and fries outlet in Lagos. You will work closely with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth food preparation and maintain high standards of hygiene and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients according to recipes, including washing, peeling, cutting and portioning.
• Assist with cooking activities and support chefs during busy periods.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment, utensils, workstations and dishwashing areas.
• Stock and organise kitchen inventory, ensuring proper food storage.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and sanitation procedures at all times.
• Report equipment faults and dispose of waste responsibly.

Required profile

• Minimum SSCE qualification.
• Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is an advantage.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced setting.
• Physically fit and able to stand for long periods.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
