Junior Business Analyst

About the role

Renmoney is a fast‑growing micro‑finance bank building a data‑driven organization. We are looking for a Junior Business Analyst who loves turning raw product and financial data into actionable insights that guide product, risk and finance decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse product and financial data to uncover insights that drive real decisions.
• Build and maintain dashboards tracking MAU, unit economics, retention and portfolio health.
• Collaborate with Product, Risk and Finance teams to define and measure key performance indicators.
• Support modelling of customer cohorts, lifetime value and non‑performing loan forecasting.
• Translate messy data into clear, concise recommendations for stakeholders.
• Contribute to the analytics foundation as the user base scales from 40K to 3M active users.

Required profile

• Degree in a quantitative field (Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science) from a top university in Nigeria or South Africa.
• Comfortable with SQL (or able to learn quickly), Excel and at least one BI tool (Power BI, Tableau or Looker).
• Ability to explain complex analysis to non‑technical stakeholders in plain English.
• Detail‑obsessed yet knows when a “good enough” answer is sufficient.
• Systems thinker who asks “why?” several layers deep.
• Experience in the oil and gas sector (petroleum engineering, geophysics, reservoir modelling, production economics) is a plus.
