Junior AI Software Engineer – Onsite in Lagos

About the role

Our client is looking for a motivated Junior AI Software Engineer to join a fast‑growing technology team in Lagos. You will work closely with senior engineers and product teams to design, develop, test, and deploy AI‑powered applications.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining AI‑enabled software solutions.
• Integrate large language models (e.g., GPT, Gemini, Claude) into web and mobile applications.
• Build and expose RESTful APIs and backend services using FastAPI, Flask or Django.
• Collect, clean, and preprocess datasets for model training and evaluation.
• Test, debug, and optimise AI applications for performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers and engineers to deliver AI features.
• Monitor deployed models and improve performance based on user feedback.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, Data Science or related field.
• 1–3 years of software engineering or AI development experience (internships count).
• Strong understanding of software development principles and programming concepts.
