Junior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Junior Accountant to join our finance team in Lagos. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, supporting budgeting activities, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards within a dynamic shipping and logistics environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers.
• Prepare financial statements and management reports.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable transactions.
• Perform bank reconciliations on a regular basis.
• Ensure proper documentation of all financial transactions.
• Utilise accounting software for day‑to‑day financial management.
• Assist in budgeting and financial planning processes.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting or a related field.
• 2–4 years of proven accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• ICAN or related professional certification is an advantage.
• Residency in Sangotedo or Ajah area.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality and ability to work independently.
• Strong communication, teamwork and deadline‑orientation.
