Junior Accountant

About the role

Blue Creations Media is looking for a motivated Junior Accountant to join its finance team in Lagos. You will support daily accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and assist with reporting and compliance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions and maintain the company’s books of account.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly financial reports.
• Reconcile bank statements and company accounts.
• Process payments, manage accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding invoices.
• Handle supplier invoices, accounts payable and payroll preparation.
• Prepare tax schedules and support statutory remittances (PAYE, Pension, VAT, WHT, etc.).
• Maintain accurate inventory valuation records and monitor expenses against budgets.
• Support financial audits by providing required documentation.
• Prepare payment vouchers, maintain proper filing of accounting records and assist management with financial analysis and budgeting.
• Ensure confidentiality of all financial information and perform any other finance‑related duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline with at least Second Class Lower/Lower Credit.
• 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• NYSC completed.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and high level of integrity.
• Excellent numerical, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Strong attention to detail, time‑management and ability to meet deadlines.
• Good communication, interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently and within a team.

• Competitive monthly salary ranging from NGN 150,000 to NGN 250,000.
