IT Infrastructure – Network Officer

About the role

The IT Infrastructure – Network Officer will oversee daily operations of the company's IT environment, ensuring that desktops, servers, mobile devices and network components run smoothly and securely. This role combines hands‑on technical work with strategic infrastructure planning.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day IT infrastructure, including desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, servers and network equipment.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot hardware, software and networking issues.
• Administer Active Directory, user accounts, Group Policies and access controls.
• Configure, monitor and maintain firewalls, VPNs and other security appliances.
• Maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure, switches, routers and wireless networks.
• Monitor system and network performance to ensure reliability, availability and security.
• Plan and execute system updates, security patches, backups and disaster‑recovery processes.
• Maintain IT asset inventory, network diagrams and documentation.
• Lead infrastructure upgrades, security enhancements and network improvement projects.
• Provide technical mentorship to junior staff and act as escalation point for complex issues.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in desktop support, system administration and network infrastructure.
• Strong proficiency with Windows and macOS operating systems.
• Hands‑on experience with Active Directory, Microsoft 365 and remote‑desktop tools.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching).
• Experience configuring and managing firewalls (e.g., Fortinet, Sophos, Cisco, Palo Alto).
• Experience with VPN configuration, network security and access‑control policies.
• Knowledge of backup solutions, patch management and system monitoring tools.
